Natural Remedies To Get Rid of Cellulites


Some 90% of women and a small percentage of men suffer from cellulites. It is completely normal they say, like that would be a consolation, and even a supermodel like Kate Moss have them I've heard. Unfortunately, exercise and a healthy diet can't alone perform the magic we hope when it comes to cellulites so to give the body an extra boost to flush out the excess fluids, fats, and toxins, all of which maximise the appearance of cellulites, I've made you a short list of some natural remedies that could help you minimise the appearance.


Natural Remedies To Get Rid of Cellulites

1. KELP is a vital source of iodine. Iodine attacks fatty deposits like cellulites by boosting the action of the thyroid to help metabolise and burn fat. 
2. MILK THISTLE is a famous herb for cellulite cure. It flushed toxins out of the liver, making it work more efficiently, and keeps the blood circulation going. 
3. GRAPE SEED EXTRACT prevent the appearance of cellulites by helping the collagen in your connective tissue and skin to be more elastic.

Quick Healthy Vegetarian Pizza

It is Sunday 11am and the rain is poring down outside. I have been up since 6am, had breakfast with the family, read the morning paper, and I am starving. The weather does not inspire me to take a nice stroll to the grocery store so lunch will have to come out of whatever my kitchen has to offer. A couple of wholemeal pita breads that were soon to hit their due date became the foundation of this quick, delicious, yet healthy, homemade mini pizza.


Homemade Pizza
2tbsp tomato paste
1 clove of garlic, crushed and chopped
4 chestnut mushrooms, sautéed in some rapeseed oil
1tbsp good quality green pesto
marinated chargrilled artichoke
one big ball buffalo mozzarella
handful of wild rocket
2 wholemeal pita breads

Preheat the oven to 175ºC/350ºF. Combine tomato paste with the crushed garlic and a tiny pinch of salt with a teaspoon and set aside. Prepare the mushrooms and slice up the mozzarella. 

Build your pizza by spreading one layer or tomato-garlic paste with one layer of pesto on top. Scatter with some mushrooms, a few slices of mozzarella, and artichokes. You get the picture. 

Bake the pizza for 10min and top with wild rocket before serve. Serves 2

  

HEALTH BENEFITS of this Pizza: The wholemeal pita bread should be without any added preservatives or strange names you do not understand. If you can find a variety that contain seeds you should go for those. The pesto brings the essential fatty acids from both the olive oil and pine nuts and the buffalo mozzarella works well for those who are sensitive to lactose. The raw wild rocket will help you digest the food more efficiently and absorb the nutrients from the other ingredients.

The Detox Bath

Before it turns to spring and the weather gets too warm and sunny for a hot relaxing bath in the tub I would like to share a recipe on how to take the ultimate bath - The Detox Bath. The bath takes 40minutes, where the first half is for when the body get rid of the toxins, and the second half for when it absorbs the added minerals in the water. The only time I can take a bath is in the evening since I get so relaxed after a hot bath that all I have energy left for is sipping a cup of peppermint tea before I go to bed and fall soundly asleep. So I would suggest you do the same. 


The Detox Bath
5dl/2cups epsom salt (magnesium sulphate)
2.5dl/1cup bicarbonate of soda
a few drops essential oil (optional)

Fill your bath tub with comfortably hot water, add the ingredients and hop in. 

You should feel your body starting to detox after a few minutes. Stay in the bath for up to 40min if you feel comfortable doing so. It is a good idea to have a glass of cold water close by in case you get uncomfortably hot or drowsy.
